Pressure Considerations

  • Install appropriate overpressure protection devices to prevent regulator operation under overpressure conditions. Provide overpressure protection for downstream equipment in case of regulator failure.

  • Due to natural refrigeration effect, for every 1.0 bar / 15 psid pressure drop across the regulator, gas temperature will decrease approximately 1°C. When ambient temperature is between -1 to 7°C / 30 to 45°F, freezing is a common issue.
