Technical Characteristics and Design
-
Parabolic Antenna for Narrow Beam: The optional parabolic antenna is designed to provide maximum focusing. This facilitates a very small emitting angle, which is essential for measurement in slim, tall silos where wall interference or internal cross-braces would otherwise disrupt a standard radar signal.
-
Air Purge Connection: In environments with high dust concentration or media prone to buildup, the FMR57 includes an integrated air purge connection. This allows for continuous or interval cleaning of the antenna surface, ensuring the radar signal remains unobstructed and reliable over long-term operation.
-
Multi-Echo Tracking Evaluation: Advanced signal processing allows the device to identify and track the true material level while ignoring interference from silo walls, ladders, or other internal obstacles. This ensures high reliability even in vessels with complex geometries.
-
Heartbeat Technology: This suite provides continuous self-monitoring and on-demand verification of the device’s health. It can identify process-related issues, such as extreme antenna coating, enabling predictive maintenance without process interruption.
-
High Temperature Resilience: With a process temperature range reaching up to +400 °C, the FMR57 is suitable for high-heat solids applications, such as hot clinker storage or industrial smelting feed bins.
-
HistoROM Data Management: All device configurations and event logs are stored on an integrated memory module. This allows for rapid commissioning and ensures that all settings are automatically transferred if the transmitter electronics are ever replaced.
