Media-Independent Accuracy: Unlike ultrasonic or pressure-based sensors, the FMP50 is not affected by changes in density, temperature, or conductivity. It provides reliable data even if the liquid is replaced by a different medium or if heavy vapors and gas layers are present above the liquid.

Multi-Echo Tracking: The FMP50 utilizes advanced Multi-Echo Tracking evaluation. This software innovation ensures the device can distinguish between the true level signal and interference echoes from tank internal structures or buildup on the probe, leading to the highest reliability in the basic segment.

HistoROM Data Management: The integrated HistoROM concept stores all device parameters and event logs. This allows for fast and easy commissioning, simplified maintenance, and rapid diagnostics. If a transmitter electronics module needs replacement, the settings are automatically restored from the HistoROM.

SIL3 Ready Design: Both hardware and software are developed according to IEC 61508, making the device suitable for use in safety-instrumented systems up to SIL3 (in homogeneous redundancy). It also features the world’s easiest proof test for SIL and WHG (overfill prevention), which can be performed without removing the sensor or changing the level.
