Critical Technical Advantages
High-Capacity Flow Design: Through the application of aerodynamic and hydrodynamic design principles, the EH series achieves 30 to 40 percent higher capacity than conventional valves of comparable port sizes. This allows for more efficient flow management and potentially smaller valve sizing for high-volume applications.
Advanced Cage Technology: Standard drilled-hole cages provide superior strength and resistance to the destructive vibrations common in high-pressure drop services. This rugged guiding system increases valve plug stability, reducing mechanical stress and significantly extending trim life.
High-Temperature Sealing (C-seal/Bore Seal): For extreme thermal environments, the EHAD can be equipped with a metal C-seal or Bore Seal. These permit Class V shutoff at temperatures up to 593C (1100F), ensuring reliable isolation in high-temperature steam and hydrocarbon service.
Intermediate Pressure Ratings: EHAD valves with buttwelding end connections feature Intermediate Standard Ratings. With non-destructive testing, these valves can meet ASME Intermediate Special Ratings, allowing them to operate at pressures and temperatures higher than standard ASME classes.
Micro-Flow Control: For applications requiring precise management of low flow rates, Micro-Form or Micro-Flute valve plugs are available. These provide superb rangeability and help prevent the erosion caused by throttling too close to the seat in high-pressure scenarios.
HIGH-SEAL Packing System: To prevent the loss of hazardous or valuable process fluids, the EHAD utilizes the HIGH-SEAL packing system. This features heavy-duty live loading and graphite packing to provide a constant, reliable stem seal that meets modern fugitive emission standards.
Piping Economy: Available with expanded end connections, the EHAD can often eliminate the need for external line swages when installed in oversized piping arrangements, simplifying installation and reducing total project costs.
