Angle Body Versatility: The EAT’s 90-degree geometry allows the valve to serve as a piping elbow, reducing installation costs and space requirements. In high-temperature or high-pressure drop services, the angle discharge helps manage fluid energy more effectively than a standard globe body, directing the flow path downward.
Balanced Plug Precision: The EAT utilizes a balanced plug design to equalize pressure above and below the valve plug. This significantly reduces the total force the actuator must overcome, allowing for smaller actuators and smoother, more responsive control even at elevated temperatures and pressures.
Superior Sealing Technology: High-integrity shutoff is achieved through a specialized seal ring and seat design. Controlled compression protects a PTFE disk between the metal seat and retainer, while a spring-loaded seal ring maintains a tight contact against the cage. This dual-action sealing allows the EAT to satisfy Class V or VI shutoff requirements.
Rugged Cage Guiding: The plug is continuously supported by a heavy-duty cage that spans the full range of travel. This robust guiding system is essential for minimizing lateral vibration and mechanical noise, which can be exacerbated by the turbulent flow paths typical of angle-body installations.
Fugitive Emission Control: Compatible with ENVIRO-SEAL™ packing systems, the EAT helps facilities meet strict environmental standards. These live-loaded PTFE or Graphite ULF systems ensure a consistent stem seal, drastically reducing process fluid loss and the frequency of packing adjustments.
NACE Compliance: To support the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, the EAT can be supplied with materials that meet NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 and MR0103 standards, providing essential protection against sulfide and chloride stress-corrosion cracking.
