The Prothermo NMT81 is a high-precision multi-point temperature probe designed for bulk storage tank gauging. Unlike single-point sensors, the NMT81 utilizes a vertical array of sensors to calculate the true average temperature of the liquid medium, which is a critical requirement for accurate volume-to-mass conversions in custody transfer. It can be further enhanced with an integrated capacitance sensor to continuously monitor the water interface at the bottom of the tank.
