Key Benefits and Advantages
Reduced Installation and Engineering Costs The 2-wire architecture allows the transmitter to operate on a standard 4-20mA loop, drastically reducing the engineering, planning, and wiring costs associated with traditional 4-wire meters. This makes it possible to upgrade to Coriolis measurement in locations where power is not centrally located or easily accessible.
Unmatched Reliability and Repeatability Unlike traditional flow technologies, the 4200 requires no straight pipe runs or flow conditioning, allowing for a compact and robust installation. With no moving parts to wear or fail, it provides a highly repeatable solution that improves product quality and minimizes waste and rework.
Integrated Data Historian and Audit Trail The onboard data historian and real-time clock provide a complete audit trail by time-stamping process data, alerts, and audit logs. This feature is invaluable for troubleshooting process upsets and maintaining regulatory compliance, as it allows operators to review historical events with precise timing.
Smart Meter Verification (SMV) A basic version of Smart Meter Verification is included as standard, allowing for a quick and complete assessment of the meter’s health. SMV determines if the sensor has been affected by erosion, corrosion, or other factors influencing calibration—all without interrupting the process or requiring a technician to be on-site with external tools.
Flexible and Safe Operation The transmitter features a graphic display supporting 8 languages. The display can be rotated electronically using integrated software without removing the front cover, which is critical for maintaining safety in hazardous areas and avoiding the need for hot work permits.
Certified for Safety Instrumented Systems The 4200 is designed for high-reliability environments and is certified for SIL2 (single use) and SIL3 (multiple use) safety applications per IEC 61508, ensuring it meets the most stringent global safety standards.
