The Proservo NMS80 is an ultra-high precision tank gauging instrument designed for custody transfer and inventory control in the oil, gas, and chemical industries. Unmatched Precision: With a measuring accuracy of ±0.4mm (±0.02″), the NMS80 ensures that inventory losses are minimized and financial transactions during custody transfer are based on the most reliable data available.
Multi-Layer Measurement: The intelligent servo system can detect and measure the interfaces between up to three different liquid layers. It can also perform tank bottom tracking and provide spot or profile density measurements throughout the tank’s height.
Safety by Design: Developed according to IEC 61508, the NMS80 supports up to SIL3 safety integrity (in homogeneous redundancy), making it a critical component for overfill prevention (WHG) and high-level safety loops.
Wide Operating Envelope: Engineered to handle extreme conditions, it operates in process temperatures ranging from -200 °C (cryogenic) to +200 °C, covering everything from LNG storage to heated bitumen or chemical reactors.
Seamless Integration: The instrument supports various open communication protocols, allowing it to connect effortlessly to major Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Tank Inventory Management systems.
