Critical Technical Advantages
Balanced Plug for Stable Control: The HPAT utilizes a balanced valve plug to equalize process pressure across the trim. This allows the valve to handle extreme pressure drops using smaller, more cost-effective actuators, providing the smooth modulation necessary for sensitive high-pressure loops.
Rugged Cage Guiding: High-pressure environments are prone to vibration and mechanical noise. The HPAT features heavy-duty cage guiding that provides total support for the valve plug throughout its full stroke, ensuring mechanical stability and protecting internal components from premature wear.
Intermediate Pressure/Temperature Ratings: For applications that exceed standard ASME Class 1500, the HPAT with weld-end fittings can be supplied with intermediate ratings according to ASME B16.34. In larger sizes (NPS 8 to 12), it is available as a standard Intermediate ANSI Class 3200, making it one of the most robust globe valves in its class.
Integrated Cage-Seat Ring Design: Available on larger sizes (NPS 8 through 14), this feature simplifies maintenance by combining the cage and seat ring. This design also provides improved shutoff performance and easier alignment during trim replacement.
Premium Sealing Technology: To ensure a leak-proof pressure boundary under thermal cycling, the HPAT uses premium spiral-wound gaskets made of Alloy 600 or X750 with Graphite. These materials offer exceptional resilience against the stresses of high-pressure utility service.
Severe Service Trim Options: The HPAT body is designed for versatility. Standard hardened trim provides excellent wear resistance, but the valve can also be fitted with Cavitrol III (for cavitation), Whisper Trim III, or WhisperFlo (for noise) to manage the most difficult flow conditions.
