Technical Characteristics and Design

  • Measurement Stability: The guided wave principle provides a reliable signal even in liquids with low dielectric constants. Since the pulses are concentrated along the probe, the measurement is largely unaffected by surface turbulence or the chemical composition of the gas phase.

  • Evaluation Software: Utilizing Multi-Echo Tracking algorithms, the FMP54 can differentiate between the actual product level and static interference signals caused by tank internals or buildup on the probe.

  • Data Integrity (HistoROM): An integrated memory module stores all device configurations and event logs. This allows for seamless electronic replacement and simplified troubleshooting without the risk of data loss or the need for recalibration.

  • Safety and Compliance: Developed according to IEC 61508, the hardware and software are suitable for use in safety-instrumented systems up to SIL3. It also meets WHG requirements for overfill prevention.
