Technical Characteristics and Process Resilience

• Highest Sensitivity: The advanced Geiger-Mueller technology allows the FTG20 to detect very low radiation levels. This often permits the use of smaller, safer radioactive sources or allows measurement through exceptionally thick vessel walls.

• Non-Invasive Reliability: The measurement is extraneous to the process, meaning there is no penetration into the vessel. This eliminates potential leak points and ensures the sensor is never damaged by corrosion, extreme temperatures, or mechanical abrasion.

• Rapid Switch Time: With a response time of up to 0.4 seconds, the FTG20 is ideal for fast-moving processes or critical safety applications where immediate detection is required.

• HistoROM Data Management: The HistoROM concept stores all device parameters. If the electronics need to be replaced, the data is automatically uploaded to the new module, eliminating the need for recalibration and reducing downtime.

• Automatic Decay Compensation: The transmitter automatically adjusts its sensitivity to account for the natural decay of the radioactive source (137Cs or 60Co), ensuring long-term measurement stability without manual intervention.
