Technical Characteristics and Flexible Design
-
Active Build-up Compensation: The FTC262 is engineered to ignore dust and product caking on the rope. It distinguishes between a “coated” sensor and a probe fully covered by the bulk material, ensuring reliable switching even in the dustiest environments.
-
Mechanical Durability: With no moving parts, the FTC262 is immune to the mechanical wear and jamming that often plague rotary paddle switches. The flexible rope can move slightly with the material flow, reducing the risk of probe breakage in high-volume silos.
-
On-Site Length Adaptation: One of the most significant benefits of the FTC262 is that the rope can be shortened on-site. This allows you to adjust the switching point exactly where needed without having to order a custom-length probe for every tank.
-
Calibration-Free Operation: The device is designed for easy commissioning. In most standard applications with light solids, it does not require on-site calibration, allowing for rapid installation and immediate use.
-
Reliable in Light Solids: The probe is optimized for materials with a dielectric constant εr ≥ 1.6 and grain sizes up to 30 mm. It performs exceptionally well with powders and fine-grained materials that tend to be non-conductive.
