Technical Characteristics and Digital Integration

• Capacitance Measuring Principle: The sensor detects a change in the electrical capacitance around the probe when it is covered by a liquid. While factory-set for media with a dielectric constant  > 20, it can be adjusted via IO-Link to detect media with  as low as 1.5.

• IO-Link Communication: The FTW23 supports IO-Link, which simplifies parameter setting and device replacement. This digital interface allows for remote configuration and provides detailed status information, reducing commissioning time and costs.

• Hygienic Design: Meeting international hygiene requirements, the FTW23 features a flush-mounted design that prevents product entrapment. It is fully CIP (Clean-in-Place) and SIP (Steam-in-Place) capable, withstanding temperatures up to 135°C for short durations.

• Compact Construction: Its small footprint allows for installation in tight spaces or narrow pipes where traditional level switches might not fit.

• Status Visualization: An integrated LED display provides clear, on-site function checks, allowing operators to verify the switching state at a glance.

• Protection Class IP 69: The device is built to withstand high-pressure, high-temperature washdowns, ensuring long-term reliability in wet and sanitary environments.
