Robust Ceramic Technology: The sensor is crafted from 99.9% high-purity Al2O3 ceramic (Ceraphire). This “dry” measuring cell is oil-free, eliminating the risk of process contamination, and is highly resistant to abrasion and chemical attack.

Density-Compensated Accuracy: Using HART 6.0, the device can perform density-corrected level measurements. This ensures the highest level of accuracy (up to ±0.1% in the “Platinum” version) even when the liquid density changes due to temperature fluctuations.

Climate-Proof Electronics: The electronics are completely potted to prevent moisture ingress, and the device features a unique 2-filter pressure compensation system. This makes the sensor virtually immune to the internal condensation that often plagues submersible instruments.

Dual Measurement Capability: The FMX21 can optionally include an integrated Pt100 sensor. This allows the device to provide a 4-20mA signal for level while simultaneously outputting highly accurate temperature data via the HART protocol.
