Compact Wafer Design: The V200U utilizes a flangeless body with a significantly reduced face-to-face dimension. This allows for easier installation in tight piping runs and reduces the overall weight of the valve assembly without sacrificing flow capacity.
Exceptional Slurry Handling: The constant wiping action of the seal against the ball surface ensures that the sealing face remains clean. This “shearing” action is specifically designed to cut through entrained solids and fibers, making it a benchmark valve for the pulp and paper industry.
Precise Control Accuracy: The precision-machined V-notch ball is contoured to provide a modified equal percentage flow characteristic. This ensures high-resolution control at small openings while providing the high capacity of a straight-through flow path when fully open.
Operational Smoothness: Reliability is driven by a pressure-balanced seal and low-friction bearings. These components minimize the torque required from the actuator and eliminate “stick-slip” behavior, ensuring smooth and repeatable ball movement even under high pressure drops.
Self-Centering Geometry: To prevent erosion caused by misalignment, the valve body includes cast or machined features on its outside diameter. These features automatically align the valve with the pipeline flange bolting, ensuring the flow path is perfectly centered within the pipe.
Trim Interchangeability: The V200U drive train is fully compatible with parts from the V150, V200, and V300 Series B families. This allows facilities to standardize their spare parts inventory, reducing costs and simplifying maintenance training for technicians
