المزايا التقنية الحاسمة
-
Angle Body Versatility: The EAD’s angle configuration allows the valve to function as a 90-degree elbow in the piping system. This is particularly beneficial in erosive services, as the downward discharge flow path directs high-velocity fluid away from the body walls, extending the life of the pressure boundary.
-
Balanced Plug Efficiency: Like the globe-style ED, the EAD utilizes a balanced valve plug. This design equalizes the pressure above and below the plug, significantly reducing the actuator thrust required to modulate the valve. This enables the use of smaller, more efficient pneumatic actuators.
-
Extreme Temperature Performance: With multiple graphite piston rings, the EAD maintains Class IV shutoff at temperatures up to 593°C (1100°F). For critical sealing needs at these temperatures, the optional C-seal trim upgrade allows for Class V shutoff.
-
High-Stability Cage Guiding: The plug is supported by a rugged cage that provides continuous guiding throughout the full stroke. This minimizes lateral vibration and mechanical noise, even under the turbulent conditions common in high-pressure drop applications.
-
Fugitive Emission Control: The EAD is compatible with ENVIRO-SEAL™ packing systems. These live-loaded PTFE or Graphite systems ensure a tight stem seal, helping plants meet Clean Air Act requirements and reducing the need for frequent packing adjustments.
-
Specialized Metallurgy: Optional materials are available to ensure compliance with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 and MR0103 standards, protecting the valve against stress corrosion cracking in sour gas or corrosive environments.

التطبيقات الأساسية
-
Steam Venting and Drain: Managing high-pressure steam in power plant vents and drains where an angle flow path is preferred.
-
Erosive Hydrocarbon Service: Throttling fluids with entrained particles that would damage a standard globe body.
-
Piping Geometry Optimization: Installations requiring a 90-degree turn where space for an additional elbow is limited.
-
Boiler Feedwater: Reliable control of high-pressure water loops in large-scale utility boilers.
