Technical Characteristics and Hygienic Design
-
Ultra-Compact Footprint: The FQR16 is designed for applications with restricted installation conditions. Its small size allows it to be mounted on small pipes, narrow chutes, or inside compact machinery where traditional microwave barriers cannot fit.
-
IP69 Protection and Food Grade Compliance: This is the first microwave barrier to achieve the IP69 protection classification, making it fully resistant to high-pressure and high-temperature washdowns. It also meets the stringent EU 1935/2004 requirements for food-contact materials.
-
External Measurement Capability: Like the rest of the Soliwave family, the FQR16 can “see” through non-metallic materials (plastic, glass, or ceramic). This allows for point level detection from the outside of a container, preventing any contact with the process media.
-
Continuous Self-Diagnosis: To ensure maximum process security, the device features a permanent self-diagnosis and a full self-test function, alerting the control system immediately if a malfunction or signal degradation occurs.
-
Maintenance-Free Operation: The non-contact nature of the measurement, combined with a robust 316L stainless steel housing, guarantees a wear-free and maintenance-free life cycle, even in abrasive or chemically aggressive environments.

Primary Applications
-
Food and Beverage Processing: Monitoring the level of ingredients like sugar, flour, or liquids in small hoppers and pipes where high-pressure cleaning is mandatory.
-
High-Speed Piece Goods Counting: Detecting and counting small objects, vials, bottles, or boxes on automated conveyor lines.
-
Overflow and Dry Run Protection: Acting as a high-speed safety switch in small tanks or pump lines to prevent overflow or equipment damage.
-
Pharmaceutical Packaging: Detecting the presence of products within blister packs or small containers in automated packaging machines.
-
Difficult Access Areas: Monitoring for blockages in confined fall shafts or narrow conduits where larger sensors are impossible to install.
